Precision Plastic Granulator Knives: The Crushing Core with High Impact Resistance and Long-Lasting Wear Life
Yuan Li Knife specializes in the engineering and manufacturing of granulator rotor knives (rotating blades) and stator knives (bed/stationary blades) dedicated to injection molding scrap recycling, blow molding hollow containers, rubber reclaim, and compounding/pelletizing facilities.
Inside the high-speed rotating cutting chamber, blades must continuously withstand extreme shear forces and violent impacts from massive solid plastic purgings, high-ductility films, and glass-fiber-reinforced modified polymers. Inadequate fracture toughness or improper heat treatment tempering can easily trigger edge chipping, micro-crack propagation, or catastrophic blade fracture; on the other hand, insufficient wear resistance causes rapid edge dulling, resulting in torn plastic strands, excessive fines/dust, and degraded crushing throughput. Yuan Li granulator blades are forged from premium low-distortion, high-wear alloy tool steels and processed via deep cryogenic heat treatment to strike the perfect balance between high hardness and impact absorption, delivering uniform granules with minimal fines.
Core Engineering Advantages of Yuan Li Granulator Knives
- Premium High-Carbon High-Chromium Alloy Steel & Cryogenic Hardening: Crafted from selected SKD-11, D2, DC53, Cr12MoV, and special shock-resistant tool steels. Vacuum quenching coupled with ultra-sub-zero cryogenic processing achieves a stable, uniform hardness of HRC 58-62 for ultimate wear resistance.
- Rigorous Rotor-Stator Paired Match Grinding: Rotor blade sets undergo stringent weight and thickness matching to minimize dynamic unbalance and vibration during high-speed rotation. Precision bevel grinding maintains a uniform, micron-level cutting gap between rotor and stator blades.
- Tungsten Carbide Inlay for Glass-Filled Polymers: For highly abrasive engineering plastics such as PA66+GF and PBT+GF, we supply tungsten carbide-tipped (Carbide / TCT) inlaid blades, extending operating wear life several times over.

[Technical Guide] Granulating Efficiency and Cutting Edge Maintenance
- Preventing Excessive Fines and Inconsistent Granules: Non-uniform granules usually stem from dull cutting edges or an oversized rotor-stator clearance (causing tearing/crushing instead of clean shearing). Yuan Li's tight straightness tolerances allow precise calibration of the optimal 0.2–0.3 mm cutting clearance, significantly reducing the generation of fine dust.
- Preventing Frictional Heat Melting (Material Sticking): The optimized bevel rake angle minimizes cutting resistance and facilitates rapid discharge, substantially reducing polymer softening and melt adhesion in the cutting chamber caused by cutting friction heat.
- High-Strength Fastener Holes and Anti-Loosening Countersinks: Mounting bolt holes and countersunk bores are precision CNC chamfer-milled to seat tightly against knife-holder bolts, preventing blade loosening or shifting under intense shock and vibration.
